WHAT IS URGENT CARE?
Urgent care is immediate care for illnesses or injuries that does not appear to be life threatening but cannot wait for a primary care visit. At St. Francis Urgent Care, we provide this convenient and immediate care alternative to waiting for hours in a hospital Emergency Room to care for an illnesses or injury is not life threatening or for patients whose regular physician cannot offer a timely appointment.
WHEN THE ER IS NEEDED
You are experiencing life-threatening illness or injury
Major head trauma • Chest pain • Loss of consciousness • Children less than 5 years • Pregnancy bleeding or complications • Life-threatening allergic reactions • Severe burns • Severe choking (cannot breathe or talk) • Severe abdominal pain • Signs or symptoms of stroke or heart attack • Amputation of a body part • Near drowning • Electrical shock • Open or angulated fractures • Deep knife wounds or gunshot wounds • Heavy, uncontrollable bleeding
